Kansas
A bill, S.B. 182, that would give urban counties in which intermodal facilities are located the right to adopt, by resolution, actions to control and reduce diesel emissions of heavy-duty vehicles has been heard in the Kansas Senate Committee on Natural Resources.
Also in Kansas, a bill, H.2178, that seeks to abolish the Kansas Turnpike Authority and turn the 236-mile roadway over to the Kansas Department of Transportation, has been referred to the House Transportation Committee.
